Plantwear was founded in mid 2013 when Wiktor Pryzyk decided to produce high quality Wooden Watches. They sourced wood that comes from Forest Stewardship Council approved suppliers and combined it with well-known components such as Miyota (Citizen) Quartz movements.
So that they have complete control over the quality of the watches they set up their own workshop in Poland which has a long woodworking tradition and employed skilled local tradesmen to hand make their watches. No wooden watch is the same as another, as each piece of wood is unique so is each wooden watch. As their business grew they added Wooden Sunglasses to their product line and the Plantwear product range was complete.
Plantwear strives to be ecological. That’s why every month, they plant trees! For every pair produced they only use a small piece of a tree, however they currently plant about 50 trees a month in a tropical rain forest in Brasil.
